During this throwing taster class you will spend your time at the wheel, learning how to centre and pull up the clay to form your first wheel-thrown pottery pieces. Three students per class means you get all the guidance and attention you need from the teacher, making this class almost a private class experience.

What to bring
Remember to bring an apron and do not dress up in your favourite outfit as clay can get messy.
Ideally have your nails cut short and your hair tied up.
Materials and tools included in the course
Clay - The cost of the class includes firing your chosen 2 pieces from those you made during the session, with a weight up to 500g in total. Any additional weight will be charged at £5+VAT/Kg. Note there is a maximum of 2 pieces fired per person and it is not possible to fire more pieces.
Glazing - Once your pieces are dry we will glaze them for you in one of our studio glazes (you choose, please mark your pieces accordingly at the end of the session). If you do not mark your choice of colour we will assume white glaze.
Tools - you will have access to all the tools you need for the workshop.
Terms of cancellation
All bookings are non-refundable.
If you are no longer able to attend your workshop, please let us know as soon as possible and at least 14 days in advance and we will do our best to help. If we can find another person to take over your place on the class we will allow you to reschedule but £20 admin fee per person will apply. If no other person books your place we will not be able to reschedule you.
Taster Class details
Location: Gatehouse A, The Old Imperial Laundry, 87 Warriner Gardens, London SW11 4XW
Day & Time of class: as chosen from the drop down menu at check-out
Duration: 2 hours (including 15 minutes cleaning at the end of the session)
Experience required: none
Max number of people in each class: 3
Collection: the pieces will be ready 3 to 5 weeks after the end of the class. We will not email you to let you know once they are. Please check the link “Collections” in the footer of our website once it has been 3-4weeks after the date of your class to see if your pieces are ready to be taken home . Kindly make sure you collect your pieces within 3 weeks once they become ready for collection as we are unable to store them for longer.
