Batter-tea time (muni X art'otel)

Because art'otel and Muni are a matcha made in heaven we have created this very special class during which you will be making a contemporary set of tea tumbler and saucer. You will learn to build your own pieces using hand building techniques and will be able to attach surface decorations to make them extra unique - don't kettle for less!
This class is perfect for all levels and Muni's tea-cher will assist you as necessary.
The design-led (and not too good at puns) Muni team have curated a beautiful range of inspiration pictures so that you can get some ideas - but feel absolutely free to bring your own inspiration too and use your creativi-tea, don't be chai!

What to bring
Since this is a hand building only class it will not get super messy, we do however recommend that you bring either an apron or an old t-shirt to put over your clothes if you can.
Ideally have your nails cut short and your hair tied up.
Materials and tools included in the course
Clay and glaze - The cost of the class includes the clay needed to create a tumbler and a small plate of up to 20cm diameter. You will only be allowed to fire one mug and one plate per person, so any extra pieces you make during the class will be recycled and not fired. Once your pieces are dry we will glaze them for you in one of our studio glazes (you choose, please mark your pieces accordingly at the end of the session). If you do not mark your choice of colour we will assume white glaze.
Tools - you will have access to all the tools you need for the workshop.
Terms of cancellation
All bookings are non-refundable.
If you are no longer able to attend your workshop, please let us know as soon as possible and at least 14 days in advance and we will do our best to help. If we can find another person to take over your place on the class we will allow you to reschedule but £20 admin fee per person will apply. If no other person books your place we will not be able to reschedule you.

Collection: Please note that finished pieces must be picked up by students at Muni London studio at Gatehouse A, 87 Warriner Gardens, SW11 4XW (not at the art'otel). They will be ready 3-5 weeks after the end of the class. Please click on ‘Collections’ in the footer of Muni website to see when your pieces are ready to be taken home. Kindly collect them within 3 weeks after they become ready for collection as we cannot store them for longer and they will be disposed of afterwards.
